The Organization

Mise en Place is an international hospitality employment agency that organizes temporary staffing for the hospitality and events branch. Mise en Place was founded in Maastricht in 1994 and has grown to 40 offices in 8 countries in the meantime. The clients of Mise en Place are mostly hotel chains, large event organisers, tradeshows, conference locations and event locations. Over the past couple of years, Mise en Place noticed a need for more specialized staffing for the hospitality branch. The Mise en Place Group was born: an international specialist providing the market with several labels (Mise en Place for waiters, Cuise for kitchen employees, House of Kent for hostesses, PMG for temporary management, ELS for stagehands and SBS for bartenders).

 

Function Description

The Personal Assistant supports the international board of directors of the Mise en Place Group (in this case: Stephan Schuschke, director Germany), in the broadest meaning of the word. The Personal Assistant is positioned directly underneath the board of directors and is the contact person for both internal and external relations.

  • Act as first point of contact for colleagues and associates
  • Monitoring arrangements, sending invitations, organizing the associated facilities
  • Act as a substitute person in the absence of the director, with the aim of gathering information
  • Supporting the Director in sales meetings
  • Maintain calendar and monitoring arrangements
  • Organize meetings (including lunch and / or dinner meetings), meeting, travel and hotel facilities
  • Supporting the director in the preparation for the Olympic Games in London 2012
  • Responsible for internal and external communications including (PowerPoint) business presentations, brochures and maintenance of social media like Twitter, FaceBook and LinkedIn.
  • Sending weekly action frames
  • Taking care of business correspondence, and correspondence for maintaining and organizing network and contacts
  • Cooperation in organizing company events
  • Researching and reporting to the Director
  • Processing and checking texts and reports
  • Managing and filtering information streams of outgoing mail, email and telephone, keeping a clear documentation system
  • Performing other activities that directly or indirectly resulting from the nature of the job, is limited to professional employment
